Job Description

One of Insight Global's clients is looking for a Production Supervisor in Plymouth, Mi. The Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of production operations to maintain productivity goals. This person would provide leadership to achieve and maintain budgetary, productivity, quality, and safety goals.

Additional responsibilities include:

* Provides orientation and oversees training for all new or transferred employees to ensure their understanding of working expectations and safety standards and procedures.

* Approves and ensures adherence to production schedules.

* Monitors the assignment of staff to ensure that production quotas are met for finished goods inventories.

* Oversees operations to ensure that waste and production costs are minimized and there is conformance to safety and quality standards.

* Responsible for planning, assigning works as required, proper production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.

* Assist and promote the team concept in manufacturing by scheduling, supporting, and attending meetings, training sessions, special projects, etc.

* Keeps Plant Manager and Management informed as to the state of operations and production needs that need to be addressed.

* Drives continuous improvement efforts in maintenance, production, quality, housekeeping, WPO, 5S, etc.

Skills and Requirements

* 10 years of experience working within a Manufacturing environment

o Working within stamping or tier 1 and 2 suppliers

* 5+ years of experience working within a leadership/management position managing a team of direct reports

* Hands on welding experience

* Prior experience working with stamping * Automotive experience

* Experience using Plex ERP

* Hilo license

* Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering null
