Payments & Credit Operations - Business Analyst

TheBusiness Analyst (Payments & Credit Operations)will report to the Director, Payments & Credit Operations and will review business operations, assess evolving business ideas, liaise between internal and external business partners, and assist with project management on select initiatives. Create business cases for new processes or the revision of existing processes the business is considering. Assist in the provision of risk assessment and general information about impact of approved projects on the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Test business processes and recommend improvements to improve the customer experience and efficiency.

• Gather and analyze data for potential expansion of payment & credit products and services to JCPenney customers.

• Document "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to accurately document the change(s) required.

• Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective project working relationships and to ensure that stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met.

• Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with assigned projects, escalating where appropriate. Where necessary, develop, agree on, and implement solutions to manage risks and overcome project blockers.

• Write clear and well-structured business requirements and documentation. Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders.

• Assist with project management for selected projects as assigned.Create (or design) reports, dashboards, and visualizations to help others understand business performance.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

• Bachelor's Degree and 0 - 3 years Project Management experience.

• Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on planning, organizing, prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.

• Applies understanding of the business environment and objectives to develop solutions without supervision, while also providing technical assistance when necessary.

• Negotiates without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on how to help the organization by obtaining consensus between two or more internal or external parties who may have different interests.
