QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma/Equivalency with 1 year of experience working in a medical environment

  • In lieu of 1 year of experience in working in a medical environment Certification from an Accredited Medical Assistant Program will be accepted

  • Act 33/34/73 Clearances

  • Pre-employment drug testing

  • Access to transportation

SCHEDULE: Must be able to work 5 shifts per month

ABOUT THE ROLE: The Health Center Casual Pool Medical Assistant will work collaboratively with all staff members. This position requires skills at both a clinical and administrative duties. Job duties include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, coding for insurance purposes, taking and recording vital signs/medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician. The Medical Assistant is a skilled communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and who can help us maintain a safe, effective medical center. The medical assistant is organized and professional, and has experience in the following: Supply Management, Infection Control, Scheduling, Confidentiality, Bedside Manner, and a Team-Based Approach
