As a Manager of Employee Relations at PITTSBURGH MERCY a community-based program, you play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and productive work environment. Your responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at supporting, mediating, and enhancing relationships between employees and the organization.

REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Labor and Industrial Relations or a related field, with five (5) years of progressive employee relations experience, including planning and conducting high-risk, sensitive investigations and formal dispute resolution processes; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and previous healthcare experience

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • This key position will locally drive and implement the employee relations strategy through systemic policy alignment and program management to support key stakeholders to proactively cultivate positive employee relations, in close partnership with our CHRO.

  • Will implement and manage the day-to-day activities supporting employee relations strategic plans, policies, and procedures to achieve Pittsburgh Mercy’s aims to realize a person-centered, mission-focused employee culture.

  • Provide guidance and serve as an employee relations subject matter expert to support Pittsburgh Mercy leadership by promoting and fostering a fair, positive, and collaborative working environment.

  • Interact with local management, colleagues, and CHRO to collectively manage, resolve, and trend employee and labor relations matters, including planning and conducting investigations, responding to internal colleague complaints and processes.

  • Ensure HR compliance and consistency in the administration, application, and delivery of employee relations policies and services.

  • Partner with key internal customers as directed including Risk Management, Legal Services, and Integrity and Compliance.

  • When required and necessary, coordinates specific employee and labor relations management training, and other employment law focused trainings.
