Honeywell Senior Engineering Technician in Phoenix, Arizona

Be a part of a team that develops and deploys data acquisition equipment for testing complex turbine engine products. Participate in the testing and validation process to support the development and certification across a wide product line. Support new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans within the organization's business strategies, with a direct impact on business outcomes. Collaborate with other experienced engineers and technicians across multiple teams to provide a test experience for our customers that applies best practices to achieve world-class results.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must have at least one of the following:

  • 1+ years of Electro-mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation related experience

  • Associate Degree

  • Military training

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Must possess basic computer skills.

  • Knowledge of basic circuitry and electronic theory.

  • Knowledge of test equipment, e.g. multi-meters, and oscilloscopes.

  • The ability to work in a lab environment, occasionally lifting (up to 35 lb.).

  • Proficiency with hand tools.

  • The ability to work outside.

  • The ability to work occasional overtime.

  • The ability to travel occasionally (<10%).

WE VALUE

  • Knowledge in data acquisition products and aerospace standard processes, specializing in Low-Speed Data Acquisition with specific knowledge in various types of sensors, e.g. accelerometers, thermocouples, pressure transducers, strain gages.

  • Knowledge in using pressure and temperature systems, frequency counters, voltage data acquisition systems.

  • Proficiency in cable fabrication skills, including soldering and cable crimping.

  • Excellent planning, execution, and project-management skills.

  • Demonstrable organizational skills in managing a wide array of equipment and technical information for multiple customer teams.

  • Proactive in identifying and executing actions for customers, and the continued success of the team.
