With one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia, Fairmount is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment. We are currently seeking a Utilization Management (UM) Coordinator to join our team.

    Utilization Management (UM) Coordinator Position

    Fairmount Behavioral Health System is seeking a Utilization Management (UM) Coordinator to reviews patient medical records to determine severity of patient’s illness and the appropriateness of level of care. Serves as a liaison for patient and hospital with insurance companies. Negotiates and advocates for patient length of stay and level of care. Oversees utilization review activities with other departments to ensure reimbursement for services provided by the hospital.

    Qualifications

    Education: MA/MSW or RN highly preferred, or equivalent experience

    Experience: Five or more year’s direct psychiatric patient care experience.

    Licensure/Certification: RN license in state of Pennsylvania or LSW preferred.

    Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of psychiatric care, utilization review, insurance reimbursement procedures, etc. Basic computer skills necessary. Exceptional customer service skills required.
