Under the direction of the Executive Director for Research Administration, the Senior Director of Clinical Research Services is responsible for oversight of all Clinical Research within LKSOM that averages 20+ million a year, including complex regulatory components, clinical trial management system and finances. Works effectively to manage all research staff in ensuring effectiveness in management of funding, including but not limited to the appropriate allocation of coordinator resources and principal investigator funding. Responsibilities include: *  Direct supervision of clinical research staff who are responsible for the day to day management of all research activity within their assigned departments, including but not limited to:  grant submissions (federal, foundation, industry sponsored, etc), and all post-award activity for clinical research and grants including financial reporting, analysis, monitoring, invoicing and effort reporting. *  Analyzes the effectiveness of and establishes future direction for functional policies related to clinical research administration *  Oversight and management of clinical trial revenue to ensure proper billing to sponsors as well as reconciling payments to invoices. *  Oversight of clinical research hospital billing through Oncore/EPIC for all clinical departments. *  Oversight of the Oncore Clinical Trial Management system *  Oversight and updating of all clinical faculty effort on grants and reporting back to LKSOM finance on faculty effort allocations in order to maintain a complete picture of faculty effort allocations across disciplines (research, clinical and teaching). *  Holds regular meetings with Clinical Chairs and/or Vice Chairs of Research in each department to review research portfolios and metrics. *  Coordinate with Clinical Department Administrators in a manner that will provide maximum assistance to enable faculty to meet their teaching, research and administrative responsibilities *  Work with Fox Chase Cancer Center and TUHS on integration of certain aspects of clinical research that will help foster collaboration with faculty. *  Act as a liaison with the Office of Vice President for Research (OVPR) to address larger issues and work towards resolution and best practices Supervises the following staff: Director Industry Contracts, Budgets & Oncore (1); Director Clinical Research Operations & Regulatory (1); Sr. Administrator (1); Research Administrator (2); Grant Administrator (5); PreAward Specialist (1); Administrative Coordinator (1). Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of related clinical research administration experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered Required Skills & Abilities: *Demonstrated ability to innovate and collaborate regarding research initiatives. *Demonstrated knowledge of standard operating procedures and clinical research regulations, included but not limited to IRB and FDA regulations. *Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills, along with the ability to be detail-oriented. *Ability to execute decisions with a sense of urgency, and work under pressure to meet deadlines. *Strong written and verbal communication skills, to include report writing skills. *Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to interact effectively with a diverse constituent population. Preferred * Research Administration experience within a higher education or medical setting. Oncore and or EPIC experience a plus, but not required.
