Job Summary

The Comcast Marketing Technology engineering team is responsible for developing, integrating and operating the capabilities marketing uses to engage in Direct Mail, Email, SMS and many other critical channels. Developers will participate in design, planning, development, release, monitoring and overall delivery of our web, mobile and application deliverables. The developer will be challenged to build new features and experiences that support millions of business & customer interactions each day while meeting the highest standards of availability, stability and performance. Job Description

The Senior Architect within the Comcast Software Engineering is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data architecture solutions to support Consumer and Marketing initiatives and strategies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identifying data sources, and creating data models that optimize data storage, retrieval, and analysis. The Senior Architect will also play a key role in defining solutions, applications, infrastructure, and tools for the organization for a completely cloud oriented team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the platform architecture, technology strategy, and implementation standards.

  • Design and develop scalable, high-performance data architecture solutions that support marketing analytics, customer segmentation, campaign management, and personalization initiatives.

  • Focused on data modeling, data quality, data integration and data governance.

  • Provide technology guidance to shape the overall strategy.

  • Collaborate with other architects and subject matter experts to integrate our solution with the broader ecosystem.

  • Understand how to integrate AI/ML models.

  • Document architectural decisions, designs, and requirements in a clear and concise manner. Create and maintain architecture diagrams, design documents, and other artifacts to facilitate understanding and communication among stakeholders.

  • Present solutions to leadership, management, architects, and developers

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior architects and engineering teams, ensuring best practices are followed in architecture design and implementation.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval performance through database tuning, indexing strategies, and data partitioning techniques.

  • Familiar with software development methodologies Agile/Scrum/Kanban and understanding of enterprise project lifecycle.

  • Experience in developing architectural solutions which contain multiple tiers.

  • Familiar with identity resolution and identity management concepts within MarTech.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Proven experience 10+ years as a solution architect or similar role within the marketing technology domain.

  • In-depth knowledge of data modeling principles, techniques, and tools (e.g., ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner).

  • Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra), and data integration technologies (e.g., ETL tools, data virtualization, API integrations).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of Data Architecture

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

  • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).

  • Experience with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and how to drive key performance indicators.

  • Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics concepts and techniques.
