University of Pennsylvania Pulmonary and Critical Care, AC Track Faculty Position - Junior rank in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the area of pulmonary and critical as an attending on the inpatient medical critical care service as well as providing services in the outpatient clinic. Additionally, nocturnal service coverage may be required. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching pulmonary and critical care fellows, house staff, and medical students.

Clinical responsibilities may include working with advanced practice providers and/or trainees, may include proficiency in consultation and diagnosis for ongoing treatment of critically ill patients in the ICU unit, rounding on in-patient services for advanced lung disease and participating in a busy out-patient clinical practice at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as well as Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Preferred candidates would have an interest and experience in education and systems improvement initiatives.
