Pharmacy (Inpatient)

Full Time

The position is a full-time rotating shift position 7am-330pm, 9am-530pm, 1130am-8pm and 230p-11pm. The position includes 1 weekend every 5th, 1 summer and 1 winter holiday, and a rotation through the MLK holiday and Juneteenth holiday. The weekend and holiday hours are 830am-5pm. Position is located at 1800 Lombard Street, Philadelphia, PA.

The Pharmacy Technician Trainee is a temporary job title for pharmacy technicians who are hired into any pharmacy area without pharmacy technician certification. A pharmacy technician hired into this role must become certified within 6 months of hire in order to continue employment and move into a permanent pharmacy technician role.

• Stock and restock medications • Prepack medications • Triage phone calls appropriately • Fill medication orders • Deliver medications to assigned areas • Regularly rotate medication stock and check for expired medications • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.

H.S. Diploma/GED, required. And A minimum of 6 months of Pharmacy experience, required. Pharmacy Technician certification required within 6 months of hire date.
