Comcast Cable Communications, LLC Manager 2, Technical Research & Development in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Manage teams responsible for developing the technology roadmap for Comcast mobile wireless, analyzing new technology and competitive trends, and building prototype solutions to support new growth opportunities in wireless, including private 5G solutions; troubleshoot and resolve end-to-end connectivity issues between customer premise and Comcast 5G network solution, through user plane and control pane protocols, data centers, Network Access Translation gateways, firewalls, and IPSec security gateways; bring-up, monitor, health check, and build resilient E2E production solutions using AWS; implement code using Agile development methodology; lead feature requirements for E2E cloud platform, NFV and CNF orchestration functions; engage with multiple vendor personnel regarding new services and features required of 5G NFs on a Centralized and Edge Data centers; define criteria for VNF, CNF benchmarking for integration of orchestration functions into Comcast infrastructure; define qualitative and quantitative metrics to support virtualization efficiencies with implementation of ETSI MANO, ONAP orchestrators; collaborate, document and present analysis and results to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders; lead implementation design, development and validation of blueprint and proof-of-concept solutions; design and implement cloud platform to support 5G core network; develop platform for time series dashboard of 5G KPIs, aggregation, and data pipeline; and work with the team to architect a next generation Orchestration and Assurance solution for a fully automated AI/ML based intent driven network; coordinate and prioritize team members' tasks; summarize and communicate project status updates to stakeholders; and evaluate performance, provide coaching, and hire personnel. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

*REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and seven (7) years of experience troubleshooting and resolving end-to-end connectivity issues through user plane and control plane protocols; of which five (5) years include bringing-up, monitoring, health checking, and building resilient E2E production solutions using AWS; implementing code using Agile development methodology; and managing technical R&D teams; and of which one (1) year includes troubleshooting and resolving end-to-end connectivity issues through data centers, Network Access Translation gateways, firewalls, and IPsec security gateways.
