University of Pennsylvania Instructor of Pediatric Neurology at CHOP in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Instructor position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree.

Responsibilities may include developing a research program that leads to new understanding in the pathobiology of neuromuscular disorders at a basic science and translational level. Clinical duties will include serving as an attending in the pediatric neuromuscular disease clinic with the option to also attend in the adult neuromuscular clinic. Successful candidates must have expertise in the diagnosis and management of neuromuscular disorders.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop an individual training experience in research skills and teaching while developing a career in an academic setting.
