POSITION SUMMARY

The Industrial Services Intern is a seasonal role responsible for assisting accounting, financing, and operational support for projects. This includes assisting in evaluating estimates, managing project timelines, tracking financials, and facilitating billing processes. The intern will actively engage with the IS team, contributing to the success and efficiency of projects. This role also interacts with the customer if needed. The intern will actively participate in team meetings, gaining exposure to the operational and financial aspects of industrial services projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with IS Office, Business & Project Managers.
• Assist with job budgets and cost/expense tracking.
• Assist with job financial closeout including invoicing.
• Assist with reconciliation of Purchases & Receivers
• Participate in daily & weekly IS Team Meetings.
• Participate with weekly IS & Operations Finance meetings.

• Required:

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year College/University pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

     

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Eagerness to learn and contribute to the success of the team.
• Accounting/Finance Experience
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• 1 previous employment related to field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
• Ability to successfully pass a 9-panel drug screening.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

   

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.
• Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving in an automobile

• May require walking and standing on irregular, uneven surfaces in an industrial setting and possibly at increased heights climbing and descending ladders and ship stairways.
