Actalent Environmental Engineer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description:

The company is seeking a mid-level environmental engineer or scientist to work in either their Philadelphia, Lansdale, or South Jersey locations. Qualified candidates will have 3-6 years of experience on environmental remediation projects. Candidates will be on-site for the first few months or so and once established will have options to go hybrid upon internal discussions with managers.

Overview:

  • Overseeing project team, delegating to office and field staff, and executing day to day activities of project

  • Conducting internal and client communication

  • Monitoring team performance for compliance with contractual agreements and budget

  • Preparing proposals and reviewing/writing environmental reports

  • Resolving project contractual and financial issues (including terms of agreement, changes in scope, billing process)

  • Managing and mentoring GZA staff of project-level scientists and engineers

  • Preparing technical design/analyses/calculations

  • Participating in meetings and agency consultation

  • Design of groundwater treatment, subslab depressurization, and air-sparge/vapor extraction systems

  • Design of in-situ chemical oxidation remedies

  • Design of earthwork projects including support of excavation

  • Storm water and erosion control design and permitting

  • Ability to travel locally and regionally

  • GZA emphasizes a One Company environment, and as a member of our team, you may be asked to assist on projects and tasks outside of your primary responsibilities

Must Haves:

P.E

B.S in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Construction Management, or related field

OSHA 40

• Copies of college transcripts (unofficial downloaded version is fine – they don’t need to have a seal on them)

Qualifications:

Professional Licensure in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey

5+ years of experience at consulting engineering firms and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations of Pennsylvania and New Jersey

Experience executing a wide range of environmental site investigation and site remediation projects

MGP and/or emerging contaminant investigation / remediation project experience a plus
