Insight Global Deputy Chief Operating Officer- Cleaning in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Deputy Chief Operating Officer- Cleaning for one of their large Transportation clients. Below are their responsibilities:

  • Enforces safety regulations and implements safety programs.

  • Establishes divisional goals, policies and programs designed to support and improve overall Authority-wide cleanliness for both customers and employees.

  • Improves the overall performance of the Custodial Service Department by reviewing results, performance against goals, and instituting changes in conjunction with the Authority's short and long-range plans.

  • Encourages creativity in cleaning practices and strives for innovative solutions.

  • Fosters a collaborative environment and ensures that employee morale is high and that employees are dealt with fairly and equitably in compliance with labor agreements, and Authority Policy.

  • Plans and implements the annual divisional budget, ensuring adherence to the budget goals

  • Oversees the development, implementation, and enforcement of standards for the cleanliness and general maintenance of the system. Ensures standards are benchmarked against transportation peers.

  • Oversees the develops and implementation of a cleanliness quality control program to ensure the effectiveness of procedures.

  • Serves as the Authority's liaison with the City of Philadelphia and other jurisdictions to address widespread cleaning campaigns and coordination for a cleaner and safer city. Coordinates jurisdictional activity on ownership of cleaning rights and activity.

  • Provides operational data and recommendations for developing specifications and procedures for purchase of equipment and supplies, or changes to, or implementation of new cleaning practices.

  • Assists in developing maintainability standards for proposed station construction materials. Oversees the review of designs for new or rehabilitated facility finishes for ease of maintenance and durability.

  • Establishes public information programs to advertise cleaning activities and respond to customer feedback

  • Monitors daily activities and the performance of various cleaning activities and provides leadership and direction to subordinates to correct and improves problem areas and meet established goals.

  • Coordinates with internal stakeholders including but not limited the

Transit Police and Service Delivery departments.

  • Performs other such tasks as directed by the Chief Operating Officer or General Manager/Chief Executive Officer.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 15 years of experience in stations and or facilities management

  • experience in cleaning or janitorial services

  • experience overseeing multiple public facilities

  • minimum of 5 years' experience in in high level management comes from the Transporation industry null
