University of Pennsylvania Academic Clinician Position, Gastroenterology Division - Junior rank in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. BC/BE in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching Penn medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Candidates should be outstanding educators who excel at teaching. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per/year of active and high-quality teaching.

Clinical responsibilities may include care of patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH) and/or Penn Medicine at Radnor (PMR) that specializes in IBD, motility/physiology, hepatology, advanced endoscopy, and/or general gastroenterology.

Selected applicants will join a highly interactive and exciting multidisciplinary academic and clinical environment at the University of Pennsylvania as integral members of the Division of Gastroenterology and will have opportunities to teach the GI fellowship and internal medicine residency programs at the Perelman School of Medicine.
