Description:

The press operator will have the following job duties:

-Set-up and operate Amada 357 Punch Press

-Very repetitive work of loading 4x10 steel beams into the press

-Load appropriate tooling into turret

-Support other fabricator duties as needed.

-Perform initial quality check of parts against blue prints

-Cross-train on Press Brake; operate depending on Production schedule.

-Complete value-added processes such as drilling, tapping, post-machining, deburring and polishing.

-Perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on processing equipment.

-Properly use and read measurement equipment and gauges (calipers, tapes, etc.)

-Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information on blueprints.

-Strong math skills (Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations).

-Safely move and handle large, heavy metal sheet, plate and parts using proper equipment.

-Verifies conformance of parts to specification. 1st article and lot inspection

-Assist with the organization, identification, and count verification of work orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVES:

-2+ years of cnc machine operating

-Ability to read blue prints

-Experience using calipers and gauges

-Experience standing for 10+ hours a day

-Experience working in a production shop

-GED or high school diploma

NICE TO HAVES:

-Experience with Amada Vipros 357 punch press

-Experience with g codes
