Job Title: Network Tech Support Analyst

Location:Clifton, NJ

Pay Range:55.00-73.00

Job Description:

As an Infrastructure Analyst specializing in Network Technical Support, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining telecom networking projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality assurance of network designs, identifying and addressing network issues, and participating in Follow-the-Sun (FTS) on-call rotation. Additionally, you will serve as the primary contact for vendor Technical Assistance Center (TAC) support and will be instrumental in developing and maintaining technical support processes, service support models, and operational practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and perform implementation activities for telecom networking projects.

  • Conduct Quality Assurance activities, identifying and submitting network design issues to Engineering.

  • Participate in Follow-the-Sun (FTS) on-call rotation for operational support.

  • Act as the primary contact for vendor TAC in support of operational problems.

  • Develop and maintain technical support processes and deliverables.

  • Establish processes for hand-over of technology and service to Operations.

  • Develop and maintain Network Service Support Models and Operations Practices.

  • Implement workflow automation to streamline operational processes.

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of Network Service General Practices.

  • Provide recommendations on network technology and service, including vendor and device selection.

  • Contribute to the development of technology training programs.

Technical Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Telecom Networking experience.

  • Specialties in one or more areas:

  • Medium to large enterprise networking infrastructure/services.

  • Core Networking Technologies: Routing, Switching, TCP/IP, Wireless LAN.

  • Transport technologies: MPLS, Frame Relay, VSAT, Leased lines, campus cabling.

  • Network Security: Remote Access Technologies, IPSec.

  • Voice Service technologies: PBX, VMX, Call Center-IVR, Cisco IP Telephony, Microsoft LYNC.

  • Data Centre Services: Application Accelerator, Load Balancer.

  • Routing Protocols: BGP, ISIS, EIGRP.

  • Familiarity with vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and F5.

General Skills:

  • Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a global virtual team environment.

  • Proactive and independent with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.

  • Process-oriented with strong analytical abilities.

  • Collaborative team player with project management skills.

Computing Environment:

  • Experience with Cisco/Juniper/HP routers and switches.

  • Familiarity with W7, W2K, UNIX, LINUX subsets, and proprietary solutions for specific systems and applications.
