This is a job for a Combat Systems Tech position with a company located in Pascagoula, MS.

Job Summary: Support the Test Division in test services including Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) SPQ14 Display installation, light off, software installation, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance/repair, integration repair, integration, engineering, and technical support for ships at the building yard.? Support may include:Establish and maintain an effective liaison with Supervisor of Shipbuilding and with other Navy, Government, and Contractor activities as required.

Experience Required: 10-15 years of relevant experience with Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) SPQ14 Display troubleshooting, repairing, and testing of associated equipment and systems. Ability to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools. Ability to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility. Some work may occur within an industrial field office, outdoors and/or aboard ship while the ship is undergoing construction, alteration, activation, overhaul, repair, and/or underway trials. Walking and climbing throughout the ship, to accomplish ship checks, may be required. Exposure to high noise levels, uncomfortable temperatures, heights, or other industrial safety conditions will require use of personal protective clothing and equipment. Ability to travel (less than 10%) to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility or on-board?ship while underway.

Preferred Specialized Experience: Relevant U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard experience in the areas of ship construction or ship repair is desired. Amphibious warship ship and/or craft construction or ship repair work experience is ideal. Retired Master Chief. Bachelor's level degree in an Engineering discipline is desired. Experience is desired supporting DoD/Navy ACAT I Programs.
