SAIC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Panama City, Florida.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of network architecture, design, and implementation, with a strong focus on maintaining the integrity and security of our network infrastructure. This role will involve working closely with various teams to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our network systems.

Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and manage complex network solutions to support business operations.

• Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, providing timely support to internal and external clients.

• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

• Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.

• Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systems and applications.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network engineers and support staff.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.

Qualifications

Required Education :

Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and zero (0) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Qualifications :

• Extensive experience with VMware NSX, Juniper SSR, Palo Alto, Fortigate, Cisco, and Cisco LISP.

• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and subnetting.

• Experience with network security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.

• Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime).

• Certification in networking technologies (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Knowledge of automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) for network management.

• Familiarity with SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Functions Virtualization) technologies.

• Experience in designing and managing wireless networks.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate large-scale network projects.

Clearance:

Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a full Secret clearance; Minimum of an Interim Secret clearance required to start.
