AdventHealth VP Home Health in Orlando, Florida

AdventHealth is seeking qualified candidates for Vice President of Home Health in our Primary Health Division. This position will be located in Maitland, Florida.

GENERAL SUMMARY :

Reporting to the COO Home Health & Hospice, the VP Home Health leads the strategy and operations company-wide for the Primary Health Division (PHD). This role collaborates closely with the corporate, regional and divisional leadership teams to develop and execute strategic growth plans. VP is a key influencer company-wide and within the community, creating partnerships and alignment for the national inventory of care continuum services within AdventHealth. VP is accountable for the strategic development, deployment and integration of home health whole person care models. VP has executive oversight of and accountability for the performance of the following home health business units company-wide: all AdventHealth Home Care entities, AdventHealth Home Infusion, AdventHealth Respiratory and Durable Medical Equipment Inc., and the integration of the AdventHealth Post-Acute Networks.

The VP of Home Health collaborates with the Senior Administrative & Clinical Leaders of AdventHealth Acute Care Services, AdventHealth Corporate System, and AdventHealth Population Health Services Organization. This is to secure alignment of strategic initiatives, full integration of home health services in a consumer delivery network while ensuring patient care is exceptional and connected. VP also provides leadership through aligning incentives and accountabilities to key organizational strategies including, serving as a key member of the executive and governance teams as well as partnering to launch the new service line in Hospital @ Home Program. VP oversees all activities involving the continuum of home health services for patients, identifies new care innovations, shares best practices, drives standardization, creates centralization efficiencies, forms strategic partnerships and establishes new services. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

P RINCIPLE DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Sets the strategic direction for home health services company-wide & aligns to business objectives. Develops, deploys and oversees the strategic growth plan in order to increase overall market share.

  • Provides strategic planning, budgeting, business development, goal setting, results measurement, and contract negotiations. Implements strategies that strengthen the performance of the post-acute network and improve the ability to manage populations and at-risk lives. Works in a matrixed market approach with the organization’s decision making and organizational structures.

  • Responsible for driving performance on balanced scorecard. Develops and oversees operating and capital budget ensuring that all departments operate within allocated budget. Establish the most efficient and effective use of appropriate staffing professional development, space, supplies and all equipment necessary for maintaining and improving the quality of services provided to patients and stakeholders resulting in excellent clinical care, service, and EBDIT.

  • Responsible for assessing, planning, directing, implementing, and evaluating care and business models and contributing to the overall organization decision-making process. Oversees the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Programs in each of the service lines of accountability, continuously evaluating critical aspects of care and patient safety. Lead teams to set specific and measurable goals and objectives for improvement. Through direct partnership with the CMO/CNO and the quality and safety team, promotes collaborative and interdisciplinary processes that focus on safety, best practice clinical outcomes for patients and staff, across the continuum of care.

  • Ensures that the consumer perspective is a driving force behind leadership decisions and activities; identifying breakdowns in consumer experience and identifying solutions to create consumer focused systems, processes and procedures.

  • Manages and develops the administrative & clinical leadership teams to meet all applicable regulatory licensure and accrediting regulations. Foster effective collaboration between clinical departments, medical staff, and affiliating services to meet the organization’s strategic goals and objectives while ensuring the effective and appropriate use of resources for clinical success.

  • Establishes and/or maintains working and collaborative relationships with the healthcare provider (pre-acute, acute, and post-acute) community, as well as strategic community healthcare relationships. Integrates with the CNO of Acute Care Services and AdventHealth System to facilitate connected care for patients and families.

  • Develops and collaborates with Population Health leaders in creating care pathways based on analytics and best practice standards and leveraging Home Health Services to bring value to populations served. Oversees and drives quality initiatives that improve outcomes and experience for those we serve.
