Job Summary

The Sr. Manager HR Data and Analytics is responsible for leading the HR Analytics strategy for Workday reporting and the ongoing evaluation, development and management of the function within the Global Data and Analytics team. This role will provide leadership to a team of Analytics staff responsible for designing, developing, and delivering HR reporting & analytics solutions to the business. Collaborates directly with internal stakeholders (generally HR Business Partners, the Global Data and Analytics functions, and leaders in other cross functional business segments) to assess and prioritize reporting solutions that transform all areas of Workday (HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruitment, Learning, etc.) and other relevant source (ES, sales performance, etc.) data into consumable and actionable resources for business leaders. Manages scope, schedule, planning, tasks and testing of HR Analytics projects to ensure successful delivery of end product.

Represents the Global Data and Analytics team as the functional leader and subject matter expert in Workday and Prism and other supporting reporting resources.

Accountable for the development, adoption and ongoing evolution of a best-in-class reporting and/or BI capability and may deliver on ad-hoc projects as assigned. Designs/develops reports, cubes, dashboards, templated or specialized visualizations or multi-format presentations, and scorecards to support business needs; ensures sourcing of high-quality data and alignment of metrics across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Acquires and maintains a comprehensive knowledge of business intelligence business applications, including Workday, Tableau, other tools leveraged within the business and uses that expertise to ensure HR business intelligence objectives are met.

  • Responsible for the HR Analytics function, including evaluation and reporting that support the company’s objectives, and supports the hiring, development, management, and retention of talent in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.

  • Leads the design, enhancement, and implementation of HR enterprise-wide technology-enabled analytical tools.

  • Supports cross-functional teams to include members from HR Centers of Expertise (COEs), Global Data and Analytics, and operational disciplines to continuously improve HR analytics practices.

  • Educates HR COEs and HR Operations Managers on how to maximize reporting and analytical capabilities to evaluate trends and translate into insights that support decision making.

  • Proven collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Provides analytic and project management support for other initiatives as needed.

  • Maintains an HR Reporting Roadmap of key business deliverables ensuring strategic alignment, prioritization, and alignment of expectations throughout HR leadership.

  • Partners with other disciplines beyond HR to facilitate business reporting needs that may be more effectively delivered through HR applications.

  • Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.

  • Performs other duties as appropriate.

Specific Candidate Profile

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Human Resources, etc.)

  • Graduate degree in related field preferred.

  • Workday Pro Report Certification preferred.

  • Workday Prism Certification preferred.

  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience including demonstrated job responsibilities in Human Resources (e.g., management, lead specialist role) financial, reporting, business intelligence, and/or data analysis; and business process or financial auditing and/or compliance responsibility.

  • Experience navigating Workday’s security model as it relates to reporting performance.

  • Experience in advanced, matrix and composite reports and calculated fields.

  • Experience as a generalist in Human Resources or a specialist in one or more of the following areas preferred: Compliance, Payroll, Associate Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Staffing, Development, Organizational Effectiveness, etc

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong experience in building and maintaining complex calculated fields in Workday

  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy with highly confidential data.

  • Depth of knowledge in Workday's core reporting architecture including calculated fields, custom objects, trended data source, matrix reports, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, Workbooks, and Composite Reports.

  • Technical knowledge and experience in HR modules of Workday.

  • Passionate about building efficiencies and delivering results.

  • Strong understanding of people related data and a demonstrated ability to present data in thoughtful and coherent way.

  • Ability to translate client requests, from Recruiting, HR, and business, into meaningful dashboards and reports.

  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced, complex and scaling environment.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, with exceptional Excel skills.

  • Strong HRIS user and reporting capabilities.
