The Senior Manager within the Payments Team is encouraged to lead and develop teams of high-performing managers and software engineers. You'll be responsible for providing solutions to intricate business problems, running high-priority initiatives, and contributing to roadmaps and overall technology strategy.

You will collaborate with Product, Marketing Business, and Strategy Teams while leading a large-scale software engineering organization. You'll facilitate cross-team and cross-channel partnerships on shared platforms. You will coach and mentor your team of engineers and leaders responsible for the Disney Experiences' Payment Platform. Your efforts will guide the organization to improve customer engagement, platform strategy, and Payment eco-system standardization.

What You Will Do

  • Define frameworks and insights to support enablement of business goals through technology.

  • You will participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards are followed consider diagnosability, reliability, and maintainability when reviewing code, and understand when code is ready to be shared or delivered.

  • You will lead by example through producing extensible and maintainable code. Apply metrics to drive the quality and stability of the code, as well as appropriate coding patterns and best practices

  • Build and guide the overall CAPEX/OPEX budget for the portfolio with an awareness of security & compliance requirements.

  • Develop, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs and deliverables. Includes, but not limited to Program management and removing road-blocks on projects.

  • Lead and manage highly skilled professional leaders and/or individual contributors, including continuous motivation in attaining both company and individual goals, skills development, mentor, and growth opportunities of the individuals within the team.

  • Build an inclusive environment to attract, retain and grow strong talent.

  • Be curious, not afraid to dig deep and look in places that others ignore, and challenge status quo.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum - Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, but preferred Master’s Degree.

  • 10+ years of technology experience in highly reliable distributed systems and building platforms.

  • 8+ years of leadership experience with demonstrated ability to lead, empower, and build result oriented development teams.

  • Led and Managed large CAPEX/OPEX budgets, planning and forecasting, including building Annual Operating Plan, ACP, and 5YP.

  • Technical knowledge and hands on experience of: Java, and Angular.

  • Technical expertise in digital ecosystem including web, mobile, APIs, NoSQL databases.

  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; including written and verbal communication as well as visualizations

  • Experienced in influencing business and technology leadership to drive positive lasting outcomes

  • Solid understanding of program management principles

  • Experience in agile software development methodologies such as scrum and test driven approach

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in payments and financial services industry is a plus.

  • Experience in working in a multi-national and multi-cultural work environment.

  • Experienced in leading software development and platform management both domestic and international.

  • Demonstrates strong ability to influence without authority.

  • Ability to share and present ideas and program details with Senior Executives

  • Ability to adopt organizational change

  • Ability to think creatively beyond normal constraints
