JOB SUMMARY:

Maintain, service, test, troubleshoot, repair, and operate all natural gas systems to ensure the continuous smooth operation of Universal Orlando. Including, but not limited to infrastructure, service lines, meter sets, regulator stations, and valves. Maintain all facility natural gas in accordance with all UO Operator Qualifications, Public Service Commission (PSC) standards and specifications, and the Midwest Energy Association (MEA) training standards.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain, service, test, troubleshoot, repair, and operate all natural gas systems to ensure the continuous smooth operation of Universal Orlando. Including, but not limited to: infrastructure, service lines, meter sets, regulator stations, and valves.

• Perform cathodic protection surveys as needed and/or mandated by the Public Service Commission. Report and repair all cathodic protection system anomalies.

• Utilize appropriate leak detection equipment to identify and locate underground leaks across UO property in accordance with all UO Operator Qualifications, Public Service Commission (PSC) standards and specifications, and the Midwest Energy Association (MEA) training standards.

• Maintain all UO natural gas records and reports to comply with all applicable codes, which includes natural gas valve PM reports, leak repair reports, leak surveys, and cathodic protection survey reports. Must maintain full compliance with all MEA training to be compliant with the UO Operator Qualification Program (OQ) and the PSC.

• Assist Plumbing department with any other duties as assigned.

• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

  EDUCATION:

• A high school degree or GED is required.

• Technical school is preferred.

  EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years natural gas experience in industrial and commercial construction, or a fast-paced service company dedicated to natural gas and maintenance is required.

• 1+ year in theme park industry is preferred.

  CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• A valid Florida Driver’s License is required to operate company vehicles.

• A State or County Journeyman’s Plumbing License or State Certified Contractor’s Plumbing License is required.

• Current (MEA) Midwest Energy Association certifications and updated (OQ) Operator Qualification certifications are required.
