Inspect trucks, identify problems using compression gauges and computerized diagnostic devices. Perform basic routine preventative maintenance and repairs on steering mechanisms brakes, tires, wiring etc. Use hand tools or precision instruments, as well as power tools, such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding equipment, or jacks and hoists. Test drive vehicles and systems, adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers' specifications. Complete DOT relevant forms.
