EAGLE CREST NORTH Resident Care Assistant in ONALASKA, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Resident Care Assistant Come join our team! There is an exciting opportunity for you to apply for at Eagle Crest North in Onalaska. We are looking for a caring and compassionate individual to join our team of dedicated and hardworking Resident Care Assistants serving the residents of our retirement and life community. In this role, you will primarily work with either the residents in our 18 memory care apartments or the 42 residents in our assisted living Facility. Our building is also home to 70 residents in our independent living plus. What You\'ll Do: - Assist residents with personal cares, daily activities while helping them maintain as much independence and dignity as possible - Other responsibilities could include medication management, light housekeeping, and a variety of other tasks What You\'ll Need: - Previous direct care experience (preferred, not required) - Certified Nursing Assistant training and/or experience (any State), (preferred, not required) - CBRF Certification, (preferred, not required) Our Wages: - Our starting rate is between \$17.00 to \$20.00 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications. - We pay for high performance! We will review your wage at six months. - PM Differential, NOC Differential, and Weekend Differentials apply; plus on-call and call-in pay Other Responsibilities of Job: Turn or reposition bedridden patients. Answer patient call signals, signal lights, bells, or intercom systems to determine patients\' needs. Measure and record food and liquid intake or urinary and fecal output, reporting changes to medical or nursing staff. Feed patients or assist patients to eat or drink. Provide physical support to assist patients to perform daily living activities, such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, standing, walking, or exercising. Document or otherwise report observations of patient behavior, complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses. Remind patients to take medications or nutritional supplements. Review patients\' dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure patient receives appropriate diet. Undress, wash, and dress patients who are unable to do so for themselves. Lift or assist others to lift patients to move them on or off beds, examination tables, surgical tables, or stretchers. Observe or examine patients to detect symptoms that may require medical attention, such as bruises, open wounds, or blood in urine. Communicate with patients to ascertain feelings or need for assistance or social and emotional support. Gather information from caregivers, nurses, or physicians about patient condition, treatment plans, or appropriate activities. Prepare or serve food trays. Change bed linens or make beds. Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, examination rooms, or other patient areas.
