Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a group of Java Developers to join one of their top clients' application development teams. Each developer will work alongside a team of 4-5 other developers to help maintain, enhance, and custom develop this large retail client's website. Each developer is involved in interpreting design documents, conducting analysis, and creating designs for simple to moderate projects. They will estimate effort required for coding and unit testing, oversees small projects, and conducts design walkthroughs. Independently code, test, and debug moderately complex programming projects based on detailed specifications, while also writing unit tests and assisting with QA testing. Providing status reports, creating design documents, unit test scripts, and user manuals are also a part of the position's responsibilities.

Our pay rate range for this positions is between: 45/hr - 65/hr

Skills and Requirements

* 5 years of software engineering experience

* Java 8, AWS, SQL (PostgreSQL), HTML, CSS

* Experience building data layers in applications (Github).

* Experience building custom applications with the spring framework

* Experience modifying and developing applications for interactive and batch programming

* Knowledge of cloud platforms and tools like AWS EC2 and AWS S3

* Experience doing fullstack web development (70% backend, 30% frontend) * Experience migrating a website to AWS

* Experience working in the retail industry or working on ecommerce websites null
