Caregiving services: (Rates paid to the Independent Provider - Caregiver by their clients)

2--3-hour shifts - $30.00 per hour to the Independent Provider for care of one person

$1.00 - $10.00 more per hour for additional people or duties

4--16-hour shifts - $25.00 per hour to the Independent Provider for care of one person 

$1.00 - $10.00 more per hour for additional people or duties

17-24 hour shifts - $385.00 per day to the Independent Provider for care of one person 

$25.00 - $100.00 more per day for additional people or duties

2-hour minimum

$25.00 per hour to the Independent Provider for services of two people

$1.00 - $10.00 more per hour for additional people or duties

South Sound Care Connection is a program of Senior Services for South Sound, a private, non-profit, private-pay program.

Requirements:

• One-year of experience providing hands-on caregiving and/or housekeeping services

• Valid driver's license

Information:

Care Connection refers Independent Providers (caregivers/housekeepers) to people in Thurston and Mason Counties, primarily aged 60 and above, and adults with disabilities.  When you are referred through Care Connection as an Independent Provider you work directly for your client and are paid by your client, not a franchise or corporation, so you earn a higher wage and acquire more experience in the duties you perform. Care Connection is not the employer of any Independent Provider on its Registry, the clients you are referred to is your employer. Care Connection's role is to refer Independent Providers to Clients, at the client's request.

To apply to be added to the Care Connection registry:

Requirements to be added to the Care Connection registry:

· Sign the Care Connection Independent Provider Guidelines

· Provide current CPR certification

· Provide current driver's license

· Provide three professional references (Name, email address and phone number OR three letters of recommendation)

Care Connection will run a background check, including a U.S. Department of Justice national sex offender search.

· Apply for Washington State Business license and provide proof to Care Connection. (Approx. $100.00 or less)

· Apply for Malpractice insurance and provide proof to Care Connection (Less than $100.00 annually depending on the coverage the independent provider chooses)

All information, including suggestions and money saving tips are provided to the independent provider by Care Connection on how to obtain a Washington State business license, current CPR certification, and malpractice insurance coverage.
