Boeing Government Training Engineering (GTE) is currently seeking a highly motivated leader who can provide direction to a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians to assist with the building and integration of military ground systems training simulators; as part of the Production Engineering and Technician team in Oklahoma City, OK.

The team is responsible for the development, manufacturing, and maintenance of training devices for a wide variety of military aircraft (AWACS/AEW&C E-7/B-52/KC-46)

Position Responsibilities:

  • Day to day leadership of a multi-disciplined hardware design team

  • Responsibility, Accountability and Authority over Schedule, cost, and Quality management of multiple parallel efforts

  • Resource management to enable flawless execution of work scope

  • A position on the leadership board that manages the HDMO Capability

  • Risk, Issue and Opportunity identification and management

  • Ability to state what is needed to persuade and convince others without causing defensiveness and to inspire others to take action

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (or foreign equivalent)

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams

  • 5+ years of experience working in a professional environment

  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a production environment

  • 1+ years of experience working in an Engineering Lab environment and/or comparable Military experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with integration with shipping and/or incoming inspection (3PL systems)

  • Experience in procurement and/or materials management

  • Training Systems Experience

  • Experience with E-3 AWACS Mission Computing or Ground Systems maintenance

  • AWACS Ground Systems Platform Experience

  • Experience teaching or explaining concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area

  • Experience as a CAM (cost account manager) in EVM (earned value management)

  • Experience developing Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s), planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Oklahoma City, OK)

Summary pay range: $119,850 - $162,150
