DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

The role involves conducting inspection services to guarantee adherence to contract specifications in order to achieve the Department's objectives of cost reduction without compromising quality standards. Responsibilities include evaluating the documentation of completed work units and materials utilized to verify precision and alignment with Department policies. Additionally, the position involves aiding in overseeing, coordinating, and managing the district's field construction project records and documentation, as well as providing support in areas such as PPCC, ECMS, Labor Compliance, and EEO.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Vendor Controlled Schedule
  • Work Project Location could be Multi County within District 1-0 (Erie, Crawford, Mercer, Forest, Venango and Warren). Headquarters is Oil City, Pennsylvania.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time ad hoc during the winter season. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Oil City.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in highway or bridge surveying, design, construction, or inspection work; or
  • One year of experience in quality control of materials or building or construction industry experience, which includes reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, or schematics; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • This particular position requires possession of a Class C non-commercial driver's license.
