The Disability Services Office is looking for a dependable Captioning Specialist. This position works with a team to make videos or audio recordings accessible for all students. The primary responsibilities of the position are as follows: Provide captions (subtitles) in English using specialized captioning software. Review course videos and other media to ensure accurate and complete captions are embedded. Add or edit captions when needed. Ensure that background noises,auditory cues,and speaker identification are included in the edited captions. Capture,store and retrieve videos,audio or other information. Operate computerized captioning system. Follow WCAG 2.1 Captioning Guidelines.This position must maintain student confidentiality in compliance withFERPA.**This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time,the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
