SUMMARY:

  • Lead the strategies and actions to achieve continued Cat dealer engagement with Rental and Sales growth opportunities.

  • Achieve profitability goals/quota.

  • Serve as the manager responsible for further developing Caterpillar dealer engagement with Temperature Control equipment sales and rental sales.

  • Demonstrate product knowledge by being able to explain the benefits of investing in the Temperature Control rental business, provide dealer market opportunity analysis, equipment investment strategies/packages, projected ROI, organizational structure, and service support strategies.

  • Provide technical sales training and support to the sales teams.

  • Support and develop new business opportunities outside the Caterpillar dealer network supporting our future initiatives of market diversification

  • 30-40% travel

    Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years or more of business development responsibility for sales growth objectives and profitability goals with results demonstrating success.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop a collaborative and cooperative working relationship with others.

  • The position will require extensive travel to support the customer base and target growth opportunities.

  • Complete understanding/willing to learn Temperature Control Rental products including water chillers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, heaters, boilers, and heat exchangers, and how they are applied in the Rental market.

  • Thorough understanding of Rental markets to include: manufacturing, food/beverage, utility, chemical, refining, contractor (mechanical and general), oil and gas, and more.

  • Strong understanding of all products combined with sales experience to provide the best support for our customer base. The ability to develop long-lasting customer relationships through exceptional customer service and support will be critical to success.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
