Regions Hospital Specialist, Education Emergency Medical Services Advanced Life Support in Oakdale, Minnesota

The Education EMS Advanced Life Support Specialist will act as the primary coordinator for advanced level continuing education. The education specialist responsibilities include: Instructs ALS courses independently and cooperatively with per diem instructors. Creating material for all ALS education, coordinating with clinical supervisors and MD's for Critical Case Reviews, Critical Thinking Lab and quarterly CME. Develops ongoing video based education content to be recorded by instructors, clinical supervisors and physicians; recruit, schedule and coordinate subject matter expert presentations and content sharing Aligning content of education to MN, WI, NREMT and other requirements alongside the Education Supervisor and Education Prepare, replace and clean equipment; encourage, mentor and manage students and assistant instructors in a professional manner; and instruct students in didactic and practical education according to course and/or Regions Hospital EMS guidelines. FTE: 0.3; 12 hours per week Work Schedule: Day/Evening (Day shifts = 7am-330pm; Evening shifts = 3pm-1130pm) Required Qualifications: Associates Degree Completion or Higher Three (3) years teaching experience in EMS and three (3) years of experience in providing advanced prehospital patient care Current MN or WI Paramedic Certification Must have knowledge using Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Software Benefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (0.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K with match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
