As a Logistic Specialist in Materials, you will coordinate and schedule all inbound and outbound logistics from GE Healthcare’s Repair Operations Center. You will be responsible for managing international and domestic shipments, analyzing transportation metrics, evaluating cost reduction and continuous improvement opportunities and ensuring all customers’ expectations are achieved following all company policies and international trade compliance regulations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Schedules, Coordinates and Tracks both Domestic and International shipments.

• Continuous internal communication with global pole managers/transportation teams.

• Coordinating and communicating shipment delivery requirements with freight forwarders.

• Primary contact for global affiliates in reference to the logistics in/out of ROC

• Support standardization of transportation processes across the site.

• Working cross-functionally with operations and finance to identify improvement opportunities and implement successful changes.

• Support warehousing optimization/Lean projects.

• Managing discrepancies which include commercial invoice discrepancies, mis-shipments, carrier issues, stalled shipments, account issues, incorrect charges and disputes.

• Subject Matter Expert in Hazardous Materials shipping.

• Understanding and processing returns, sharing and exchanges of material.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or High School diploma/GED and 3 years of Supply Chain Experience, or GE Leadership Program employee or graduate.

Desired Qualifications

• Self-starter with clear transparent and direct oral and written communication skills.

• Scheduling shipping and receiving applications familiarity. (Excel)

• Commerical invoice generation and Internatinal trade compliance regulation knowledge.

• Understanding of Hazardous Materials shipping requirements.
