Superior Ambulance Service EMT Class - Oak Creek in Oak Creek, Wisconsin

Overview

Superior Air-Ground EMT Classes are operated under LSTI of Wisconsin. We are looking for highly motivated and self-driven candidates to join the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Industry. We are offering EMT Sponsorship for our EMT Student Program that will educate students and prepare them to take the National Registry Exam and become a Wisconsin Licensed EMT while getting PAID. The successful completion of the EMT class requirements and NREMT are required to be a licensed EMT. All materials are covered by Superior Ambulance Service (SAS). Upon receiving their Wisconsin EMT licensure, the student will be hired as a full-time employee and be required to be employed full-time for one year and three months [15 months]. Possible opportunity for provisional employment after 46 hours and good academic standing in the class. There is NO cost for the selected students to attend the class unless they are unable to complete the one year and three months of employment after licensure. Class schedule TBD.

Responsibilities

  • Observational rider with current Superior Ambulance Field Employees

  • Learning State Protocols and Standards through classroom instruction

  • Represent the Company by being courteous, professional, and a patient advocate.

  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance while maintaining courteous, professional, and ethical behavior while working cooperatively with other members of the health care system, co-workers, and the public.

  • Perform other duties as assigned including those specific to the local operation.

  • Regular and timely attendance consistent with scheduled hours. Absences cannot exceed two classes.

  • Uses care and respect with all equipment and supplies.

  • Must maintain an 80% average in the class to remain in the program and maintain employment.

Qualifications

  • Current state Driver's License in good standing with satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Superiors Driving Policy.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with other employees and medical agencies to provide the highest level of patient care.

  • Ability to read and interpret all required documents and write required reports and correspondence.

  • Other qualifications/certifications specific to the local operation and/or contract requirements.

  • Satisfactorily meet Company physical assessments/tests. (Must be able to lift 137.50lb)

  • High School diploma or GED required, unless currently enrolled in High School

  • Military experience is welcome but not necessary.

  • Must be 18 years or older to be considered.

  • Admission will be approved based on passing an entrance exam.
