Emergency Medical Specialist - Emergency Services

Northridge Hospital Medical Center

The Emergency Department at Northridge Hospital Medical Center is actively seeking individuals who demonstrate excellence. All employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization. The EMT is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner with respect and dignity . Under direct supervision of licensed personnel the EMERGENCY MEDICAL SPECIALIST assists the Emergency Department registered nurses and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team with routine activities of the Emergency Department in accordance with individual patient needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Previous emergency care technician experience preferred. Previous emergency department experience preferred.

  • CA Phlebotomy certification required.

  • Current EMT certification required

  • BLS card required. Fire Safety card required.

  • 1 year of experience in acute care environment preferred

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement

Pay Range

$31.35 - $39.17 /hour
