Join our collaborative and global team as a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) supporting the IR Development Sciences team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to enhance your business-tech skills while contributing to AbbVie's mission of positively impacting patients' lives by advancing the future of medicine. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

• Consulting with functional areas to understand complex business needs in R&D Development Sciences to determine how they will affect applications and systems

• Providing ideas and recommendations for system upgrades and evolution

• Developing detailed business user requirements, system documentation, workflow procedures, and managing projects.

• Significant Work Activities -Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)

Qualifications

Tools and skills you will use in this role:

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and have excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally. Communicate with colleagues/management regarding timelines. Evaluate issues to manager as appropriate in a timely manner.

• Document and manage requirements and user stories.

• Proficient in using the Microsoft Suite (Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

• Ability to manage time and priorities of self and team.

Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years technical experience, or master’s degree in information systems or related field

• Must be able to effectively lead and facilitate meetings with customers and technical team members.

• Must be deliverables focused and detail oriented.

• Must exhibit exceptional teamwork skills.

• Must have a strong customer focus.

Beneficial:

• Experience in project management tools, such as Jira

• Experience in Data Analytics

• Scientific or related background
