Aston Carter Inventory Control Coordinator in North Charleston, South Carolina

Job Description:

  • Monitor Inventory Levels: Regularly check inventory levels and identify any inconsistencies or discrepancies.

  • Receiving and Storing: Coordinate and supervise the receiving and storing of inventory.

  • Inventory Audits: Perform regular physical inventory audits and reconcile with inventory management system records.

  • Inventory Control Procedures: Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.

  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and documentation.

  • Purchasing Orders: Assist in the preparation and management of purchasing orders.

  • Inventory Shortages/Overstock: Identify and address potential inventory shortages or overstock situations.

  • Demand Forecasting: Work with sales and operations teams to manage inventory demand and forecast future needs.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and legal standards in the storage and handling of inventory.

  • Shipping Coordination: Coordinate with logistics and delivery teams for timely and accurate shipping of products.

  • Inventory Management Software: Use inventory management software or systems to track and analyze inventory.

  • Staff Training: Assist in the training of new staff on inventory control systems and procedures

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of inventory/purchasing experince

  • Must have excel experince - pivot tables, export/extract and import data, run reports

  • Experience working with about 5-10 mill in revenue

  • Experience manually counting inventory

  • Solid understanding shipping/receiving procedures

  • ERP software experience

  • Experience working/communicating with vendors - negotiations, logistics, etc.
