Trinity Health Decision Support, Financial Analyst – REMOTE in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania

Description:

• Performs all necessary daily/monthly/quarterly Decision Support System (DSS) and cost accounting applications including implementation, installation, maintenance, processing & reconciliation including the collection/update of statistics & reconciles the data to feeder systems

• Maintains & reviews cost accounting processes within the DSS. Follows established audit and review procedures to ensure the accuracy/integrity of all cost and net patient revenue data within the system. Checks integrated data to original sources where possible.

• Produces quarterly profit/(loss) reports for distribution to ministries.

• Monitors and coordinates updates of remaps and allocations.

• Annually reviews, remaps and allocations with operational leadership.

Responsible for the data capture, analysis & reporting of data information to assist the Trinity Health leadership team achieve operational efficiency. Responsible for auditing department information, producing reports, & suggesting improvements to processes. Provides knowledge & expertise in the program, services & applications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in business administration, finance/accounting or other healthcare related area of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • One (1) year experience in health care cost accounting / decision support, managed care, reimbursement, patient accounting, financial operations, or information services.

Additional Qualifications (nice to have)

  • Experience with use and implantation of cost accounting systems.

  • Knowledge of healthcare nomenclature, business processes, and clinical functions.

  • Excel Experience preferred.

Leverages program & operational data & measurements to define & demonstrate progress, ROI & impacts.

Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, state & local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of Conduct, as well as other policies, procedures & guidelines in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects safe, honest, ethical & professional behavior & safe work practices.

  • Rare clinical / patient facing work environment.

  • Includes continuous work time indoors (subject to travel requirements) under temperature-controlled & well-lit conditions; may encounter occasional variable external environmental conditions.

  • Includes occasional lifting, up to 30 pounds unassisted, frequent travel & use of computer; Includes continuous sitting & may require rare long periods of continued walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling & pushing.

Direct Healthcare & Indirect / Support Healthcare Services: must be able to:

  • Adapt to frequent interruptions, shifting priorities & stressful situations; Attend to tasks until complete, understand & relate to complex ideas & concepts & be able to remember multiple tasks & regimens extending over long periods of time & work on concurrent tasks / projects.

  • Read small print, frequent ability to hear normal sounds & voice patterns, able to give / receive instructions & other verbal communications in-person & over the phone / computer / device / equipment assigned with some background noise.

  • Perform frequent manual dexterity activities & occasional grasping/handling.

  • Continuous attention to maintain a safe working environment & use of available personal protective equipment (PPE).

Hourly Pay Range: $27.42 - $41.13
