Eagle Technologies LLC Material Control Associate in Newport News, Virginia

Eagle Technologies, LLC (Newport News, VA) is seeking a material control associate. Eagle Technologies is a small veteran-owned business who designs and manufactures airframe components for the aerospace industry, with a niche in rotor blade and prop blade development. Job Summary: Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials and supplies, as well as those related to the Production function.

Job Type: Full-time, First shift

Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs data entry and inventory & asset tracking.

  • Performs inspections on all outgoing & incoming packages from customer shipments to vendor products.

  • Ensures all outgoing packages are properly packaged, secure and shipping procedures are followed.

  • Coordinating movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements.

  • Operating material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material

  • Maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work

  • Ensure all materials are properly put away in the warehouse, follow all safety guidelines to ensure products are stowed correctly.

  • Verify all incoming receipts, confirm description & quantities are correct and sign the receipt. Note any discrepancies or damage on the delivery receipt.

  • Attaches identifying tags to material and/or marks them with pertinent information.

  • Other activities as may be directed

  • Maintains all logs associated with storeroom operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Team Player

  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the company.

  • Ability to read Bill of Materials

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.

  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet.

  • Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically.)

Credentials and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • A valid U.S. Driver's license required.

  • Forklift experience preferred.

  • Shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Must be a US citizen.
