Position: Senior Financial Accountant
Reports to: Accounting Manager
Location: Newberg, Oregon
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant prepares and maintains financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepares monthly balance sheet and income statement journal entries.
Reconciles GL accounts, including complex and intercompany accounts as assigned and teams with others to resolve reconciling items as needed
Support month end process and closing of the books
Assists with month end reviews and trend analysis
Research and analyze complex financial and accounting results and issues
Assists with department expense discussions of budget to actuals as assigned
Fixed asset accounting and tracking of capital expenditure projects in progress
Assist in driving departmental process improvements
Assist in driving operational process improvements
Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
Handles stress in a professional manner, demonstrates the ability to get along with others, demonstrates successful attendance and punctuality, and works overtime / extra hours as required to meet business needs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP system knowledge
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
At least five years of related experience required
Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred
Experience handling multi-tier consolidations and currency conversions highly preferred
CPA preferred

Office and travel have moderate noise levels. Machine/Product demonstrations and customer visits can have loud noise levels.
