Purpose:
Analyst II Risk product owner will be responsible for collaborating with IT and business areas to ensure the derivatives system provides the required capabilities. The candidate will define and execute upon the vision for system fixes and improvements and prioritize the work for IT. The role will support the Risk Derivatives system with a focus on the following criteria:

Accountabilities:
Derivatives System Product Owner
Work with in-house technology teams, in an Agile methodology, to deliver new or enhanced system capabilities.
Work closely with product managers and business teams to create and maintain system backlog according to business value or ROI
Lead team scrums to define system vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project
Plan and prioritize system development and system feature backlog with detailed specifications understood by relevant teams
Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals
Coordinate between business and IT on maintenance and support efforts around the system.
Ongoing monitoring of system performance and operations for continuous improvement
Coordinate with business areas to perform system related business processes:
Portfolio onboarding, administration, data management, etc.
Build subject-matter expertise related to derivatives, and all pre and post-execution processes and systems related to derivatives at Athene, with a view of becoming a key resource for information and leadership.
Business Project Management
Organizing and planning of Risk system initiatives
Analyze impact to current systems and processes and define scope
Determine cross functional dependences
Liaise with business and IT areas for coordination, developing plan and approach
Project Plan execution
For IT related workstreams ensure alignment of priorities and deliverables
Manage communication and status with stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in in Finance or IT related field
4 plus years experience in Risk, IT, Trading, Derivatives or related area
Strong knowledge with systems, data and business process integrations between corporate functions in investments, risk, finance or actuarial
Knowledge of data warehousing and reporting architecture and design
Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders
Understanding of business value related to features and functions
In-depth knowledge of agile methodology for project management
Strong ability to develop working relationships
Strong communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the company
A strong candidate will be highly detail-oriented, well-organized, independent, assertive, self-motivated, and be able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
$63,200.00 - $94,800.00 USD Annual
Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
