AIE’s New York office is looking for a Project Assistant, who will support our busy Bridge Inspection and Evaluation department.Scope of Responsibilities:• Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements• Attend site meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members• Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures• Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team• Assist in drafting and issuing project proposals, RFP’s, and preliminary schedules• Support Social Media campaigns and posts• Assist in preparing project sketches using AutoCAD or MicroStation• Assist in preparing project reports, updating progress report, invoices, monitoring hours/budget, either daily, weekly or monthly basis as required.• Responsible for field office including, ordering all safety and office supply.• General administrative responsibilities which may include, but are not limited to: invoicing, scheduling, travel arrangements, shipments, expense reporting, and filing. Required Competencies:• Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite: Word; Excel; PowerPoint for presentations; SharePoint is preferred, and candidate can have basic skills and manager willing to train a "quick learner" on SharePoint. Outlook with extensive background in database systems. Innate ability to learn new software, such as corporate intranet and enterprise business.• Experience using design software such as AutoCAD and Revit• Experience with technical writing and document development / generation.Desired qualifications:· BA/BS degree· Proficient in Excel, Word and Project· Proficient in AutoCAD/ Revit· AEC industry experience· Must be a highly organized detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment· Must have strong oral and written communication skills· Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.· Ability to execute and follow-through on multiple tasks simultaneously· Highly motivated, strong sense of urgencyBridge Inspection & Evaluation is the core expertise of the firm, earning a national reputation for serving DOT’s / bridge owners on major projects in over 20 states throughout the U.S. Since 2016, the company has embarked on the adaptation of New Technology in inspecting, evaluating, and designing bridges.
