Dr. Marjorie Rhodes is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Associate to work on an NSF-funded project on how beliefs about the social world (e.g., stereotypes, essentialism, ideologies) are reflected and spread through language in parent-child conversation. The position is for one year and is renewable for up to three years based on performance and availability of funds. The salary is competitive with standards for federally funded Postdoctoral Associate positions.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500-$90,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

The position requires a PhD in psychology or related field by the intended start date and a track record of published research on topics relevant to the lab’s work. In addition, we are particularly interested in candidates with experience with natural language data and/or longitudinal analyses.
