Role Description:

We are seeking a seasoned senior developer to join our Algorithmic Trading Container team, focusing on Equities, Futures, and FX asset classes. Your primary responsibility will involve developing and enhancing the framework and container supporting our cross-asset Algorithmic Trading Engine application, primarily built in Core Java. This role is pivotal within our Trading Technology team and involves close collaboration with various stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and maintain the framework and container of our Next Generation Algo Trading Technology platform to ensure scalability for handling high volumes of data across asset classes.

  • Develop and refine the framework to facilitate strategy customization and integration of strategy models developed by quantitative developers.

  • Collaborate extensively with Automation Testing tools, Workflow Management Systems, and Trading Engines crucial for project success.

  • Analyze business requirements, design software systems, develop solutions, conduct software testing, and troubleshoot production issues.

  • Continuously develop, enhance, modify, and maintain applications supporting the algo trading platform.

  • Provide production support, including addressing issues and ensuring system stability.

  • Implement process automation for build and test procedures.

  • Ensure periodic updates to applications to align with firm standards.

  • Collaborate effectively with a global team spanning across Americas, UK, and Asia.

  • Adhere to Agile methodologies and compliance standards.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience working with core Java.

  • Proficiency in multi-threading concepts in Java for optimizing system performance.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop efficient algorithms.

  • Strong Unix scripting skills and familiarity with navigating Unix environments.

  • Previous experience in developing Electronic Trading systems is essential.

  • Familiarity with FIX protocol for electronic communication in financial markets.

  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.

Experience in Equities/Futures/FX asset classes
