Job Description Job Description:

TMAC Communications is planning a Martin Luther King Day of Service event to promote the culture of giving and service. It involves working with organizations to plan service projects for 2 hours so that volunteers can do community services during this holiday. An Event Coordinator is needed for coordinating specific tasks throughout the last stages of the event planning process. They will assist the Event Specialists with coordinating any last minute tasks to ensure proper logistics of event activities, keep everything within the allocated budget and ensure that the event itself is carried out smoothly.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Assisting with planning event details and aspects, including floor plan and layout and communicating with satellite sites

• Helping to remain under budget with all costs

• Coordinating event activities and assist in addressing potential problems that may arise

• Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event • Maintaining a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events

• Assisting with cost reimbursement for participating organizations providing service projects

• Assisting with registration of service-based organizations for the exhibition hall

• Assisting with onsite operations such as event set up/break down and day of event tasks
