In addition to raising awareness, AFHU helps the university through fundraising that recruits and retains outstanding faculty, builds teaching and research facilities, and provides scholarships and fellowships. With AFHU’s support, the university advances human understanding in myriad fields including agriculture, astronomy, energy, psychology, medicine, and more.

AFHU boasts an endowment of $750 million and raises approximately $60-$65 million each year, with plans to increase its fundraising efforts. Our contribution represents approximately one-half of Hebrew University’s annual fundraising goal.

About You

This role offers a unique opportunity for a motivated professional who is interested in being part of a mission-driven non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter possessing excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to analyze and synthesize data in order to support our efforts in becoming a more data-driven organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the Executive Office, Administrative Coordinator on CEO’s communications including donor and board communications, acknowledgment letters, donor tributes, marketing materials, E-newsletters, and fundraising initiatives

  • Maintain office records and organizational systems

  • Manage the CEO’s and CDO’s calendar with respect to scheduling internal and external meetings, reserving appropriate meeting space within the office and externally, securing restaurant reservations, circulating meeting materials, and any/all matters relating to their calendars and changes in the moment

  • Submit invoices to accounting and finance team using Stampli and process expense report for the CEO and CDO using the Concur expense system

  • Manage projects for the Executive Office

  • Pull lists from Raiser’s Edge

  • Add trip recaps, meeting notes, and donor notes to Raiser’s Edge for CEO and CDO

  • Special projects as assigned

    Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a non-profit or related experience is a must

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Knowledge of Blackbaud’s Raisers Edge NXT or similar CRM donor management is preferred

  • Knowledge of design applications for invitations such as Canva preferred

  • Strong writing and research skills

    Annual Salary: $70,000-$80,000
