SEEHER (https://www.seeher.com/) is the leading global movement to increase accurate portrayals of women and girls in marketing, advertising, media, and entertainment. SeeHer is a division of the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), we are a collective of the nation’s top marketer, media and agency companies united in our commitment to a bias-free marketing and media ecosystem and determined to use the power of our combined investment dollars to impact positive change. This important initiative launched in 2016 with a goal to increase the accurate portrayals of women and girls in content by 20% by 2020. After reaching that milestone in 2019, the goal was expanded to achieve accurate representation of women and girls in 80% of all measured media by 2030. Eventually, to eliminate gender bias entirely from all forms of content.

Position Summary

SeeHer, is seeking an Account Director, Membership to help realize the mission of driving the accurate portrayal of women and girls in marketing, advertising, media, and entertainment. The role is a critical contributor in SeeHer’s sales efforts to drive engagement with the mission and growth in total membership revenue. The ideal candidate will have a track record of dealing with senior level decision makers with a focus on sales development.  SeeHer is a membership-based model, and so a solid engaged core membership plus the development and recruitment of new members is foundational to the success of the movement.

 

This individual will be responsible for managing senior level relationships with current SeeHer members, ensuring that they are leaning into the SeeHer benefits as desired and the SeeHer team is consistently exceeding member expectations.  This individual will also be responsible for researching, cultivating, initiating, and closing new prospect opportunities, creating documents/materials and supporting the membership team.

 

Major Responsibilities

Build and maintain exceptional relationships with current SeeHer members and prospective members. The candidate must have a strong understanding of the advertising and marketing eco-system.

 

The AD, Membership will work in support of the Membership team and in partnership with the SeeHer member marketers, media companies, agencies, platforms, and other marketplace media alliances to accomplish the following:

 

Retention:  Ensure that all Members, across levels, have a high level of engagement with SeeHer.

  • Participate in SeeHer membership engagement and retention strategies.

  • Manage existing members to deliver best-in-class benefits across members marketing and media planning processes.

  • Increase member engagement through an elevated level of customer service expertise. 

    Recruit: Growth of membership is critical to the Mission of SeeHer

  • Utilizing industry news, LinkedIn, events, etc. to prospect new membership opportunities

  • Proactively prospect new membership at the highest levels within an organization.

  • With senior leadership, manage a large pipeline of prospects and nurture prospects through the sales funnel.

    General

  • Proactive self-starter, comfortable working as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 

  • Ability to communicate, present and influence, in both verbal and written capacities.

  • Build and develop deep, strategic, and creative partnerships with the marketer, media, agency, and entertainment community.

  • Utilize network in marketing/media/entertainment/agency sectors.

  • Sustain & grow SeeHer’s leadership position in the market.

  • Learn and support the ANA Marketing Growth Agenda

  • Collaborate across SeeHer departments

    Professional Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in media, client service, sales, membership, or a similar role preferably with planning and buying experience; marketer experience a plus.

  • Passion for SeeHer’s mission and a strong advocate for women and gender equality. 

  • Extensive strategic, creative and client service skills with a strong understanding of the marketing and advertising ecosystem.

  • Creative problem solver; solution-oriented approach.

  • Hands-on with a persistent desire to go above and beyond. Embrace a startup mentality.

  • Membership/Client obsessed.

  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Organized, efficient and focused on time management.

  • Ability to travel with expectations to meet regularly in person with members and prospects.

    Salary and Total Rewards Package:

    Starting pay range:  $95,000 to $105,000, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
