Reference #: 4474947 THE POSITION The Pennsylvania State Police have a Clerical Assistant 2 position available at our New Stanton Station.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK The incumbent in this position provides general clerical support at the Station, assisting the Section/Station Commanders and Station Supervisors.

Additional responsibilities include the following:

Maintains Section and/or Station filing systems utilizing Operations Manual 7-3 as a reference. Retrieves documents and/or inserts documents in alphabetical, numerical, and chronological order; Purges files monthly and annually per regulations; Prepares new files and file folders as needed; Establishes, reorganizes and/or combines filing systems to ensure they comply with Department regulations and meet the needs of current and future Station personnel; Revises old files to eliminate inadequacies, changing priorities and additional storage needs.Interested in learning more?  Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment. Work hours are 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $34,621 (before taxes). Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: Six months or more of experience in paying bills. Six months or more of experience using Microsoft Excel. Six months or more of experience scheduling appointments/assignments. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
