Cornell Scott Hill Health Corporation Dentist in New Haven, Connecticut

Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center is looking to add a General Dentist to the Dental Services team. At Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center, the health and well-being of our patients are important to us.

The dental department provides comprehensive, effective, and efficient dental and oral healthcare utilizing the latest techniques in state-of-the-art facilities.

Our Dental Services Include:

    Qualifications

    Education: Graduate of a Dental School recognized by the ADA Counsel on Dental Education. Dental Residency Program is required. Current Connecticut Dental License and current narcotics license are required. CPR Certification is required.

    Experience: Prior experience is preferred. New graduates can apply. Familiarity with EPIC Systems is highly desirable.

    Summary

    The Dentist is responsible for examining, diagnosing, counseling, and performing dental treatment for patients. Under the direction of the Director of Dental, the Dentist will participate in departmental and center-wide activities. Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums, and related oral structures: Examines patient to determine the nature of the condition, utilizing x-rays, dental instruments, and other diagnostic procedures. Cleans, fills, extracts, and replaces teeth, using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical implements. Provides preventive dental services to patients, such as applications of fluoride and sealants to teeth, and education in oral and dental hygiene.

    Travel within the State of Connecticut is required on an as-needed basis.

    Must be willing to provide evening, Saturday, and satellite clinic coverage when necessary.
